The service

Vernacular is an early test version of a language-practice tool. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times.

AI-generated content

Conversations, corrections, lessons, expressions, Word Cam results and check-in scores are generated by AI and can be inaccurate. They are for practice only, are not a certified language assessment, and should not be relied on for medical, legal, travel-document or other important decisions.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for language learning.
• Don't try to access other people's data, overload the service, or bypass usage limits.
• Don't submit unlawful, hateful or sexual content, or photos of other people without their consent.

Limits

Free accounts have monthly limits on AI conversation sessions and AI generations. Limits may change during testing.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
